Angkor Destination is proudly to introduce you the meditation experiences as part of our broader cultural programs. Conducting this tour, you will learn and understand the roles, techniques and the benefits of meditation for mental well-being. It is a guided tours to Buddhist temples, pagodas, or at monasteries where we personally selected and offer you the sessions by the Buddhist monks in a few minutes, educate you about the significance of meditation in Buddhism and its benefits, before you practice the meditation.
In general, the best practice is between 20-30 minutes for those whom got used to and do it well. After conducting this tour, you will understand the way of our mindful traditions, the beliefs and practices in Buddhism that ensuring a respectful and meaningful experience for tourists. Your tour is included the visit of Hariharalaya group of temples, dated back from the 9th century.

- Please note that, to conduct this tour you must be appropriately dressed for the temple and meditation session. Wear a long sleeve shirt and trousers. White dresses are perfect for ladies, although not essential, as long as you are dressed respectfully.

Day 1PICK UP AT THE HOTEL IN SIEM REAP, TRANSFER TO THE DESIRE LOCATION FOR SUNRISE AND MEDITATION
* Wake up and pick up transfer from the hotel at 04:30am
Pick up and transfer to the south of Siem Reap along the way to fishing floating Village. Drive up the mountain and meet the monks for the instruction about how to meditate. The meditation will last longer or shorter it depends on how you can manage yourself. The longer you can manage the better you can a peace yourself.
The meditation is normally last for about 30 minutes if you are well meditator. At around 06:00 or 06:30am, you will have a chance watching sunrise. Then follow by breakfast boxes which is ready delivered and reserved for you on spot. Catch up the surrounding environment and enjoy the beautiful landscape and the beauty of the great lake before proceeding your trip to an enjoyable boat ride around the fishing floating village (boat trip takes approximately 1.5 hours (October – February). On the way back town you are recommended for an authentic experience with the traditional transport “Ox-Cart ride” for about 15 minutes in the village (optional). Back town and visit Artisan d’Angkor before returning to the hotel for refreshment.
… back to the hotel for lunch and refreshment. .Set back to visit the temples in Hariharalaya group Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei.Preah Ko, the temple was the first one to be built in the ancient and now defunct city of Hariharalaya located in some 15 kilometers south-east of the main group of temples at Angkor temple complex. Preah Ko “the sacred bull” is one of the oldest monuments in Angkor. The Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva is named after the bull Nandi the mount of Shiva.
Bakong temple is the largest and most interesting in Roluos group. It was built and dedicated to Shiva by Indravarman I and it’s a representation of Mt Meru. It served as the city’s central temple. The east-facing complex consists of a five-tier central pyramid of sandstone 60 meters square at the base flanked by eight towers of brick and sandstone and by other minor sanctuaries. A number of the lower towers are still partly covered by their original plasterwork.
Lolei is an island temple built in 893 by King Yasovarman I to honor his ancestors. The temple was constructed on an artificial island in the Indratataka baray a vast water reservoir measuring nearly four kilometers long and 750 meters wide. The baray is now dry was dug out for irrigation purposes and as a source of drinking water for the capital. Back town at around 17:00 take a tour to artisan d’Angkor – located in town in just a few minutes from your hotel. Tour around to see the activities of the skilled craftmen stone wood carving lacquering and weaving. Artisan d’angkor is only best place for the workmanship and is the center for revitalising cultural and arts. Get some sourvenirs for your own gifts back home. End of Service!
